Aldar Sells Out All 133 Residences on Yas Island

Aldar has announced the complete sell-out of all 133 residential units on Yas Island, underscoring the strong demand for high-quality properties in the area. The successful sales highlight Yas Island's growing appeal as a premier lifestyle and investment destination in Abu Dhabi. This milestone reflects Aldar’s continued success in delivering attractive real estate offerings that resonate with buyers seeking luxury, convenience, and long-term value in one of the UAE’s most vibrant communities.

Aldar reported that the project appealed to a diverse group of buyers, thanks to its exceptional amenities, renowned Waldorf Astoria hospitality, and prime Yas Island location.

The UAE’s top developer Aldar revealed that all 133 units at Waldorf Astoria Residences Yas sold out on launch day, marking the first branded residential project on Yas Island and generating AED 850 million ($231 million) in sales. Situated alongside the famous Yas Links Golf Course, the residences offer panoramic views of the green fairways and the celebrated Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The development features a select range of stylishly designed homes, including one- to three-bedroom apartments, duplexes, and lavish four-bedroom penthouses. Aldar highlighted that buyers came from various backgrounds, attracted by the high-end facilities, signature Waldorf Astoria service, and the sought-after location on Yas Island.

International investors and expats made up 76% of sales, while UAE nationals accounted for the remaining 24%, according to the company. The strongest global interest came from purchasers in the UK and China, underscoring Yas Island’s status as a dynamic and internationally appealing destination.

Significantly, 66% of buyers were younger than 45, demonstrating growing demand for luxury, service-oriented living among younger buyers. Furthermore, 68% of purchasers were first-time buyers with Aldar, indicating the developer’s expanding appeal and market reach. The project introduces Hilton’s prestigious Waldorf Astoria brand to Abu Dhabi for the first time, raising the standard for luxury living in the city.

CEO Jonathan Emery described the sell-out as a major achievement, emphasizing Yas Island’s growing reputation as a top choice for investment and upscale residency. He added that being the island’s first branded residential project, its strong success signals increasing demand for luxury hospitality-style living in Abu Dhabi and confirms the widespread appeal of the Waldorf Astoria brand.
