Dubai’s top chefs unite for Gault&Millau’s Culinary Innovators Awards 2025

Dubai’s leading culinary talents are joining forces for Gault&Millau’s Culinary Innovators Awards 2025, a showcase of creativity, technique, and future-forward dining. The collaboration highlights breakthrough flavors, sustainable sourcing, and guest-centric experiences across fine dining and casual concepts. By celebrating experimentation, mentorship, and cross-kitchen partnerships, the event underscores Dubai’s rise as a gastronomy hub. Expect tasting menus, tech-enabled service, and impact initiatives, as chefs compete and collaborate to define the next chapter of Dubai’s culinary scene.

Dubai’s culinary heavyweights are teaming up for Gault&Millau UAE’s Culinary Innovators 2025, a two-day feast of teamwork, imagination, and UAE-grown produce hosted at The Avery, Conrad Dubai. This November, the city’s star chefs converge for the event’s second edition, transforming The Avery into a live lab of collaboration and creativity.

The refreshed format champions partnerships and produce-first thinking. Twelve acclaimed chefs will pair up across six kitchens, co-creating bite-size dishes that spotlight the freshest local ingredients and unmistakable Emirati terroir. Each duo blends distinct philosophies to deliver a roving degustation with its own rhythm and surprise.

Expect headline team-ups: Takashi Namekata and Hisao Ueda of TakaHisa with Chris Malone from Dinner by Heston Blumenthal; Daniel Birk and Jason Atherton of Row on 45 alongside Mathieu Balbino of Pierre’s TT; plus Kelvin Cheung of Jun’s cooking in concert with Akmal Anuar of Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori.

The lineup continues with Saverio Sbaragli of Al Muntaha joining Solemann Haddad of Moonrise; Tristin Farmer of Maison Dali partnering with Dmitry Vinokurov of Krasota; and Carmen Rueda Hernandez of BRIX Journey collaborating with Nouel Catis of SNA’AP.

Gault&Millau UAE editor David J Constable notes that this year’s approach builds naturally on last year’s success, putting the spotlight on top-quality local sourcing while showcasing Dubai’s rising confidence and ambition on the global food stage.

Scheduled for Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November, Culinary Innovators 2025 features three services, two evening seatings and a Saturday lunch, each capped at 150 guests for an intimate, high-energy experience. Every ticket unlocks a progressive dine-around: one signature “hero” plate from each kitchen, complemented by free-flow beverages and live entertainment.

Guests can select curated pairings, soft drinks, wines, or Perrier-Jouët Champagne, tailored to the journey. VIP reserved seating ups the ante with early entry, elevated table service, an extra amuse-bouche from every kitchen, and time to connect with the chefs.

With only eight VIP tables per service, exclusivity is assured, along with an exceptional display of craft, collaboration, and culinary daring at the very top of Dubai’s dining scene.
